The AESO Posts a NID Overview for the Heritage Wind Energy Centre Connection
The AESO has posted a Need Identification Document (NID) overview for additional transmission capacity in the Pincher Creek area for a new wind farm.
This includes a new 240kV breaker and 240kV transmission line to connect the facility to 312S Fidler Substation. The work is expected to be complete in October, 2018. This is part of consultation process for an eventual application to the Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC).
This is part of the AESO's Connection Process. All new connections to the transmission system are required to go through this process.
24 Month Supply and Demand Report
The 24 Month Supply and Demand Report can now be downloaded from the AESO's website in CSV format.
The AESO also provides a graphic showing the power produced internally, what is available to import from BC, power consumed (including reserve margin) and surplus power.
